Aerial dusk photograph of a UK data centre construction site with three rectangular halls in different stages of completion, tower cranes silhouetted against a deep blue-purple sky.

Three halls, three phases — visual analogue to the build plan

Phase 1 · Foundations

Feb – Mar 2026 · complete

The seven principles, the eleven personas, the routing matrix.

Established the bar. Locked the principles. Drew up the eleven personas and walked them through dashboard scoping with each. Built version-controlled decision ledger; every choice carries an audit trail.

  • Seven principles locked at v1.5; impeccable bar, recommendation-only ethos
  • Eleven persona dashboards scoped — PM through QA
  • Routing matrix v2 — 167 navigable routes, no dead ends
  • Cranebank fictional world locked: 3 halls × 3 storeys × 6 pods · 17 subs · client / DNO / end-tenant
  • Decision ledger v1.8; every spec change traceable
Phase 2 · Decisions

Mar – Apr 2026 · complete

Five sign-off threads, each one closed with each persona.

Worked through five critical decision strands — Contract Engine, Commercial, Compliance, Client, Safety, PM — capturing every question and every chosen answer in version-controlled markdown. No spec written without a decision behind it.

  • Contract Engine spec — CT.1 through CT.18, locked
  • Commercial decisions — payment, variation, sub-cost flow
  • Compliance decisions — Building Safety Act gateway integration
  • Client & safety decisions — clearance levels, RAMS scope, PIR
  • PM decisions — programme, delays, EWN, milestones
  • All entries cross-referenced into routing matrix
Phase 3 · Headlines

Apr 2026 · live

Three demonstrable workflows, end-to-end.

Built and deployed the three Innovate UK demo workflows. Each one runs against fictional Cranebank data, each one has the recommendation banner, the locked sign-off declaration, and a competent person at the end of the chain.

  • Contract-Aware Engine — five live pages, twelve clauses, six pending notices
  • M-USR Onboarding — Register and Admin pages, animated 8-step cascade
  • M-PD Programme & Delays — programme uploads, 7 substantiated delay events totalling 350 days
  • Recommendation banner + competent-person sign-off wired into all 167 routes
  • Build: 1,981 modules · zero compile errors · deployed
Phase 4 · Polish

Apr – May 2026 · in flight

Pitch surfaces and walk-through hardening.

The platform exists; now the pitch surface needs to match. This sales website. The 22-minute walkthrough script. The Innovate UK pack. Visual QA across every page; cross-browser; accessibility; load-time budget.

  • Eleven-page sales site (this site) — design, copy, deploy
  • 22-minute live demo script, persona-by-persona
  • Innovate UK technical pack — architecture, data model, security posture
  • Final visual QA: 167 routes × desktop + mobile + dark mode
  • Accessibility pass — WCAG 2.2 AA across the platform
22 May 2026 · Demo

target · backstop 25 May

Innovate UK pitch — three Headlines, twenty-two minutes, one platform.

The pitch is the platform. We open the demo, walk three workflows, and let the dashboards speak. Eleven personas. Three Headlines. Seven principles. One impeccable bar.

  • Live demonstration of Contract Engine — clause to issued notice in 17 minutes
  • Live demonstration of M-USR — package award to operational in under 5 minutes
  • Live demonstration of M-PD — full Cranebank delay register, end-to-end
  • Q&A with reference back to dashboards, not slides
Q3 2026 · After Innovate

post-pitch

Pilot deployments — alongside one or two real UK contractors.

Take the platform off Cranebank and onto a real-world build. Light pilot, with a tier-one contractor on a single non-critical workstream. Hardening, real-data ingestion, multi-tenant security review.

  • Pilot tenancy — single contractor, single workstream
  • SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness
  • Multi-tenant data isolation review
  • API surface and ERP integration patterns (Coins, Eque2, COINS)
  • Building Safety Act gateway export integration
"Build as much as you can. The more that can be demonstrated, the better. We do not pitch the platform — we open it." The instruction that shaped Phase 3
